The day had started off on a bad note: traffic…etc., all the main ingredients to ensure I get late to work, but I did not want to get deterred, after all it was my BIRTHDAY.
During the huddle ( morning daily meeting ) the Kuza Biashara team broke into a birthday tune, very nostalgic of my younger days in kindergarten and nursery days, when my mum delivered a cake to my teachers, that’s when everyone were my friends, for them to secure the larger piece of the cake.Well this time round, it is different,the Kuza Biashara team, quickly organised a surprise gift for me,..I hope it is not because I announced and demanded for a gift :).
Well I was surprised but, I knew all along what was going on.. from all the surveying that was going on, and being called to solve a fake problem…plus I also saw Sylvia carrying a bouquet of flowers..when she saw me, she was very surprised. :).
I also had to treat myself-one of our partners had suggested an authentic Kenyan restaurant-Amaica and being a foodie I had to try some rabbit meat…and it was better than chicken.
Thanks to Kuza Biashara team, they made my day and my best day in 2012.
Everyday should be a Birthday.
