Experiences

+Two days of inspiration and bonding

Untitled-196

It was the first time I was to meet the whole kuzabiashara family, and so I was excited but equally nervous. The morning of Friday 24th On arrival, the place was a conference facility of sorts, with a large terrace view of the ever increasing highrise towers in the Westlands business district. More and more people started trickling in and soon it was a full house, with people congregating and catching up! In the kuzabiashara content division, we have our supervising boss known as Ms. Nicole. She is the office chatter-box if I may say so, and naturally the best ice breaker for such a workshop. She led us through a game where we were all to mingle and then cluster in groups of random numbers she would call out. This was so much fun and achieved its purpose of bringing out the smiles and making people familiar with the other, thumbs up to her.
The rest of the day went smoothly, where all the teams from the kuzabiashara sales force, shared their experiences, and issues they face in their day to day activities , and solutions were provided from within the group. It was a very unique experience and made me look forward to the following day’s workshop. The highlight of the day was the SME bankers who showed up and seemed so impressed with what we were doing that they were very willing to do business with us, and help us grow. A real thumbs up to the bankers, we really appreciated it and looking forward to this venture.

Saturday morning, the air in the Safaricom conference hall where the whole team was meeting was hung with an excited buzz and a feeling of togetherness. Every region was grouped in a corner gathering their thoughts about the day. All pending issues were solved at an “issues desk”, as were several other things that needed sorting out. During this time we were running around taking pictures. Oooh almost forgot to mention, Pauline was made Nicoles manager for the day. Needless to say she had a whale of a time ordering Nikki around and keeping her on her toes!

Lunch was awesome, courtesy of Ms. Loiceanne, who claimed to have cooked the entire meal!

The highlight of the day was Mr. Sriram’s speech, it was here that he shared the story of his life, and played us clips of things that mean a lot to him and are the source of his inspiration. The whole room was filled with awe and hope for the future of kuzabiashara and the workforce that drives this entity.

All in all it was a very inspiring and fun weekend. It was an amazing opportunity to meet the entire team and left me eager and motivated to get to work and make a change.

I’m really looking forward to the next workshop.
