When you think about a camera, what factors do you consider? Weight, resolution, pixels, shutter, f-stops, white balancing, picture styles. For those of us who love to see the world through lenses, there is a whole package of these features we are interested to know.
On hearing that a new Canon 60D SLR would be brought to the office, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the device and explore these features.

On the arrival date I couldn’t help wondering what was in this big bag that I presumed would only have the camera inside it, I opened it’s zip to reveal a new set of lights and noticed the different colour light gels with the lights, batteries, two hard disks, lens cleaners and other equipments, all these were not to my interest at first as I reached out for the camera and switched it on to take my first photo, the open-close sound from the shutter alone was amazing, looking at the image, no one would not notice the impression on my face on seeing the high definition quality of the image. I could not wait to take more pictures with this camera.

Built with a 3 inch every angle LCD monitor and 18 megapixel resolution, the EOS 60D is just a wonderful device. On going outside, the breathtaking scenery would change on color temperature by playing with shutter speed, f-stop, picture styles, white balancing and other availables in real time, with these features, capturing the ideal mood is truly effortless.

Trying to keep my image evenly framed is tough where there is no visible horizon, fortunately for the EOS 60D, the electronic level function on the LCD takes care of that, from landscapes to silhouette photography, the DSLR’s interchangeable lens mount lets me use different lenses for different scenarios, with the 135mm macro lens with an image stabilizer, taking close up shots has never been easier, capturing the finest details of nature but if something in wide angle catches my interest, the 50mm lens is a great way to catch all the action, just put the image stabilizer on and let the cameras auto focus points attain precise focusing on the subject.

You never know when a rare moment will surprise you which is why the camera has a live view quick auto focus mode, which allows me the fastest and the most accurate way to focus.

Thanks to the LCD display resolution composing and reviewing my shots is a delight; processing my raw images with the in-camera processing feature is done simply by modifying a range of parameters like white balance and color space and saving them as JPEG all without the hustle of studio editing.
