A single call that changed everything

Untitled-123

It is nearly a year now, but to me it seems like it happened yesterday – the single call that automatically changed me and my life.

Everyone’s dream is to actually get a job that relates with the kind of career one wants. It was on a Monday morning that I received a call from my friend that there was a job opportunity and I needed to apply as soon as possible. Without hesitating I did it since I had been waiting for this gracious opportunity. Little did I know whether I would manage it having done a different course.

I was enrolled on Kuza Biashara as an intern on July 25, 2011 to do marketing, but still wasn’t sure if I would manage. My first day was just not good since I wasn’t used to speaking in front of more than two people and explaining about a product that I received in just a 20 minutes training and I was going to explore the market.

Thankfully, one week later I worked to the best of my abilities and there I was – confident and able to express myself infront of more than ten people. The journey wasn’t good as one would expect after joining Kuza Biashara. But I experienced so many challenges that I thought I would almost quit. But thanks to my brother who kept me going that I had to continue working since nothing comes so easy or rather the way you expect.

I would always keep in touch with my fellow colleagues and we used to encourage each other. Though not everyone finished the race as most of us who joined together quit in order to draw salaries in larger figures.

Experience is always the best teacher, and everyone needs to learn that money is not everything and money can’t actually solve all the problems in the world.Getting to help other people in one way or another like the case of Kuza Biashara of providing a solution to clients by building free websites at no cost at all and also getting an opportunity to learn from other businessmen and women from other parts of the country is a big step to be emulated.

Today, Kuza Biashara has changed me drastically as I have interacted with so many SMEs in the ground and have helped them get information about how to run their businesses and how they have overcome challenges in their specific fields.

It has instilled very important qualities to me and above all it has made me to love marketing. Now I am planning to do my Degree in marketing.

Kuza Biashara just roars……………
