A British designer has created the world’s most expensive mobile phone costing a jaw-dropping GBP 10 million.

The handset is a solid gold, diamond encrusted iPhone 5 totalling 135 grams of 24 carat gold.

It is covered in more than 600 diamonds with a single 26 carat black diamond replacing the ‘home’ button, below the sapphire glass screen.

And there are more diamonds on the back of the phone where 53 make up the gold-plated Apple logo.

Liverpool designer Stuart Hughes worked for nine weeks recreating the original Apple handset; commissioned by an anonymous Chinese businessman who has been in possession of the black diamond for a while.
