Welcome to Kuza Biashara. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of this website and Kuza Blog (together, the "Site") and your submission of articles or other content to us. By accessing the Site or submitting content, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. About Kuza Biashara

Kuza Biashara operates Kuza Blog, an online platform that publishes articles on entrepreneurship, business and modern technology for readers across Africa and beyond. Our editorial team can be reached at interact@kuza.one or at 43 General Mathenge Road, Nairobi.

2. Article submissions

Kuza Biashara offers writers a free platform to submit articles for possible publication on Kuza Blog. By submitting an article, you confirm that:

• The article is your own original work, is 100% exclusively owned by you, and has not been copied, re-written or adapted from content that already exists on the internet or elsewhere;
• The article has not been previously published and is not being submitted to any other publication at the same time;
• You hold all rights necessary to grant the licence described in Section 3, including permission or authorisation to use any images, graphics or third-party material included in the article;
• The article complies with our Editorial Guidelines as published on the Site from time to time.

3. Licence and ownership

You retain copyright in your article. By submitting it, you grant Kuza Biashara a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, exclusive licence to publish, reproduce, edit, adapt, distribute, promote and display the article (in whole or in part) on Kuza Blog, our social media channels, newsletters and other Kuza Biashara properties, together with your name and author bio.

Because this licence is exclusive, you agree not to re-publish the article on your own blog, website or any other platform after it has been published on Kuza Blog. You are, however, welcome to link to the published article and share it through your network.

4. Editorial review

All submissions are reviewed by the Kuza Biashara editorial team. We may edit articles for clarity, length, grammar, style and formatting, and may remove or replace images that do not meet our quality standards. We reserve the right to decline any submission, or to remove a published article, for any reason and without providing an explanation. Our decision is final.

5. Prohibited content

You must not submit content that:

• Infringes any copyright, trademark, privacy right or other right of any person;
• Promotes unethical internet activities, unethical business practices, or anything that may create a poor user experience for our readers;
• Is defamatory, misleading, obscene, hateful, discriminatory or otherwise unlawful;
• Contains affiliate links, contact information within the article body, or salesy or self-promotional material outside the author bio;
• Contains malware, spam or links to harmful or low-quality websites.

6. Links and author bio

Hyperlinks in articles must point to authoritative sources. You may include a maximum of one anchor-text link to your own website, preferably in your 1–2 sentence author bio. Kuza Biashara may remove or modify links at its discretion, and may apply "nofollow" or similar attributes.

7. No compensation

Publication on Kuza Blog is free and unpaid. Unless separately agreed in writing, you will not receive any payment, fee or other compensation for your submission or its publication.

8. Intellectual property of the Site

Except for content contributed by writers, all content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, design and software — is owned by or licensed to Kuza Biashara and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from Site content without our prior written consent.

9. Disclaimer

Articles on Kuza Blog reflect the views of their authors and are provided for general information only. They do not constitute business, legal, financial or professional advice. The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kuza Biashara and its officers, employees and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special loss or damage arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site, your reliance on any content, or your submission of content to us.
