The newly launched application by LinkedIn for Windows Phone includes advanced features that neither the  iPhone nor the Android users see in their applications.

Users can access real time industry news and explore jobs and companies at any point of time and at any place. The application is available for free in the Windows Phone Marketplace and runs on devices having Windows Phone 7.5 and above. Users can browse suitable jobs and save them and access them later when needed. The LinkedIn Windows phone app lets users follow the latest news and updates from specific companies you choose. Files of size below 1MB can be downloaded for free, and the windows phone app uses OS’ Metro UI and ‘Live Tile’ capabilities.

According to LinkedIn, some features of Windows Phone application surpass those of the  iOS  and  Android LinkedIn  applications. Its Windows Phone application directs users to the companies and jobs features. Windows application for phone offers better functionality than its sibling’s iOS and Android. LinkedIn  took advantage of the unique Windows Phone metro style design which has a beautiful style ensuring that users have easy and quick access to all the relevant professional information they’ve come to rely on from LinkedIn. The metro-style look and animation brings a visually appealing and easy-to-navigate app. The application puts together updates via Twitter from LinkedIn contacts. LinkedIn  is useful for job hunting and networking for any company. You can save the company’s title profile available on the Windows Phone app which can follow various companies’ activities.

Replying to messages in your inbox could be easier. There is no open space for you to begin writing, meaning you have to tap at the top and hit return a few times. LinkedIn for Windows Phone is a speed, beautiful and useful app for people who want to access and be connected to their professional networks at any point of time. You can’t edit your profile – a feature missing from LinkedIn and other mobile apps as well. The Windows Phone app also doesn’t show complete but basic description on profile but you can only see few features like position title, company and duration of the job.
