Instinctive Decisions Are Not Always Right

Startup Business IdeasSometimes instinctive startup business ideas can strike gold but you should be careful about making decisions based on instinct. One of the major problems in small business management is that startup founders take a few decisions without giving it too much thought. Experts say that you should trust your instincts but sometimes, that can be wrong.

Some decisions may not be your best but you will be able to forget them after a while and move on. Some other decisions can haunt you for a long time and even end up making you question your business leadership skills.

Let’s take a look at some such decisions:

Not Choosing Discipline

If you don’t choose to be disciplined now, chances are that you will regret it later. “I wish I had. .” is a very painful thought. Stand still for a moment and think of times that you did something else instead of doing what you now wish you did. You may not even remember what you chose to do because those things are just not worth it. Are you really where you wanted to be 5 years ago?

After that, come back to the present and look at where you want to be 5 years from today. Are you working towards it? Yes, this will make you work hard but that hard work is satisfying. Regret is not.

Giving In To Your Fears

Courage is not the absence of fear but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear.

You don’t need to be fearless. You just should make sure that these fears don’t get the better of you and hinder your business growth strategies. There are people who get excellent startup business ideas but don’t execute them because they are scared of failing. Such fear can cause you to make decisions that you will regret forever.

Staying In Your Comfort Zone

This has been the reason for regret for many startup founders over the years. Once we start getting familiar with something, we start getting comfortable. That comfort keeps us trapped and doesn’t let us try new things. After a point, this hinders growth. Thus, if driving profitability is your goal, you have to get out of your comfort zone.

Keeping Grudges

Not forgiving someone will make matters worse for you. Don’t resent, don’t be bitter, and don’t be jealous. All these feelings will damage your soul and sadly for you, will have no effect on anyone else. Let go, not because they deserve it but because you deserve some peace.

To nurture your startup business ideas and to ensure that you lead an almost regret-free life from now onwards, take steps and make thoughtful decisions.

Entrepreneurial Learning

Some decisions can cause trouble, making you regret your actions in the future. While instincts can be trusted at times, always going by what your perspective is, may land you in trouble. Think before making quick decisions.
