Weekend Ideas in Kenya
Roadt-trip Idea From Ms. Vaines Msinga

The weekend is upon us once again. As usual, the Kuza Biashara Team is in high spirit and we can’t wait to join you in making the most of this special period of time. So, which is the best way to spend the weekend? You might want to ask. Easy, we have some 5 brilliant ideas for you below.

Go for a road-trip

Why not take a road-trip to catch a glimpse of our country’s beautiful scenery. All you need is a nice car, a few friends and you are good to go.

Our very own Ms.Vaines Msinga (Kuza Biashara Production Team) plans to spend most of her time over the weekend unraveling the wonders of Taita Hills. “Enjoy the beauty while it lasts” adds Ms.Vaines.

Raj Karthi Will Go Out Biking

Bike Riding

If long distance travel doesn’t sound like a brilliant idea to you, maybe you should consider biking. All you need for this is a nice bicycle and err…a helmet of course. Remember, if you don’t own a bike you can always rent one from local tour companies. Kuza Biashara’s senior VP Mr Raj Karthi plans to enjoy a nice-warm weekend biking around the city of Nairobi (or dirt bike riding as he prefers to calls it).

Justus Will Watch Football

Catch a football match

There is no better way to spend your weekend than by watching the FA final match pitting Arsenal FC against Hullcity. The match will be live on DSTV on Saturday 17/5/2014 from Wembley Stadium.

Kuza Biashara Customer Service Representative Mr Justus Korir is planning to spend most of his time at his local entertainment joint watching the latest football action with his buddies. “I will later go to Nyayo Stadium to watch our local boys, Harambee Stars play Comoros.” Adds Justus who is also planning to add at least one new recipe to his cook-book.

Go hiking

Githinji Will Go Out Hiking

If you are an outdoor person you can make every moment of your weekend count by going for a hiking session with your friends. For instance you can venture into the bushes of Ngong Hill or climb the hills of Menengai in Nakuru. What’s more, you can take wonderful photos of yourself in the wild and share them with your friends on various social media platforms. Well, at least that is what our very own Social Media Expert Mr. Githinji Mwai plans to do for the weekend.

Yvonne Will Spend More "Me" Time

Read your favorite books

Not all of us like being outdoors all the time. If you are such a person; you’ll definitely fall in love with Yvonne Debora’s (Kuza Biashara Production Team) idea of spending the whole weekend reading her favorite book “The Memory Keeper’s Daughter” authored by Kim Edwards.

“I prefer to spend more me time and enjoy my own company,” she says. “Besides that I can’t wait to go out shopping with my favorite friends.”

Spend some time with family

Joan is a Family Person

Sometimes we (entrepreneurs that is) get a bit too busy to a point of forgetting our families. For this weekend, why don’t you dedicate some of your time to spend with the people who matter the most in your life? Our ever-brilliant Product Manager Joan Mbugua plans to take some time off her busy schedule to take her nieces swimming. Aside from that, she plans to attend her best friend’s wedding.

James Keru Will Go To Church

Go to place of worship

Most people’s weekdays are typically crammed with work, business matters, school and chores. When the weekend hits, most of us want to unwind and have some fun. Well, if you are anything like James Keru (author) then going to your place of worship (mosque, church, temple) would be such a nice idea. Besides going to church, James plans to spend some two to three hours watching his favorite movies.

What about you? It is now your turn to tell us how you plan to spend your weekend. We can’t wait to hear from you.
