Are You Becoming a Victim Of Your Own Success? You Need To Read This

Frustrated

You have been working really hard towards your dreams and finally you’ve hit the jackpot. You have your dream job, your business is flourishing and you are living the life you have always dreamt about, but hold on for a minute…there are many people who were as lucky as you but they made a few mistakes here and there – and you know what? They ended up failing.

Today, we don’t want you to become yet another fallen dream. We don’t want to see you crumble away. We want you to achieve your very best and become a person that everyone wants to emulate. So, take this advice and keep it close to your heart, soul and mind…

(1) Don’t adopt the titanic mentality

People with this kind of mentality are deceived that they are at the peak of success and no kind of failure can bring them down. They only think of the success at hand and forget of the future.

Humility is the mother of all giants, so as a successful entrepreneur you should be able to look at your past and practice humility to be able to make fruitful steps for the future.

(2) Don’t forget those who molded you

It is easy for us to forget about those who made us who we are and with time, we see them as a bother. Do not let success get into your head to an extent that you ignore those who nurtured you. Always learn to keep cool and respect those behind your success.

Think about your village elders, your primary school teachers, your parents, your first employer and so forth – these are the people you should never forget about in your life because without them you would not be who you are today.

(3) Don’t let the money corrupt your morals

Money has the power to corrupt the minds of the simple people. There are cases known of people whose richness overpowered their minds and would avoid associating with others just because they are not at par in terms of the social status. Money calls for humility, remember when pride goes afore shame follows soon after.

(4) Don’t let it go into your head

Don’t rest in your current glory.

Being successful is a satisfaction that no one minds and of course, we want to be all high and mighty. However, we should not let all the glory go into our heads. Success is the fruit of the hard toil and it is shameful if the same success lets us down. Let us not let other people’s praises and appreciation get the better of us.

(5) Don’t drown in corporate pride

This is a tip for all small business owners out there. If your business becomes (or has already become) a big organization don’t get into the habit of treating your clients and employees like trash – thinking that you can do better without them. Needless to say, a corporate with such an attitude may not live to see many years in the market. Success can be a double-edged sword; it can be a blessing and a curse at the same time.

Success is a heaven-sent gift…and you should really thank the heavens if you are successful. However, do not forget that there is more to life than money, fame, wealth and supremacy. Take gentle steps and you will go far.
