Is your Website Attracting Traffic? If Not, This is Possibly Why

Having a website developed and designed is just the beginning. If you want to make it work for you, there is a lot more for you to do.

So you launched an attractive website and are waiting for great results. They don’t come. Where could you have gone wrong? Well, there are plenty of plausible reasons. Just the design is not what you should focus upon when it comes to launching a website and expecting it to improve traffic and sales. The components of the website and the user feasibility are also very important. Listed below are a few very common mistakes. Find out if you are making one or more of them.

It is Not Mobile Friendly

We live in a world of smartphones and it is baffling that many business owners still don’t take the mobile world seriously. Most of use the mobile to surf and research, which means that your customers are likely to do the same. If your website is not mobile-friendly or compatible you will easily lose a great number of potential customers.

Also, the mobile website should be very easy to use and navigate through. It should be more like an app and the key feature should be swipe rather than click.

It is Complex

Simplicity should be your aim at all times. You should never use complicated words, terms, or phrases in a hope to impress your customers. No one likes having to read jargon that they don’t even understand. Also, people don’t believe or trust something that they don’t comprehend. Keep it simple and understandable, thus.

Too Many Clicks

Take it as a ground rule that you are dealing with a highly advanced audience that does not have patience. Your visitors need you to get to the point quickly and if you don’t, you will lose their interest all together. That is why you should not make your customers click too much to reach their point of interest. A single click or perhaps two clicks should do the job for them.

Conduct an analysis to find out what customers and visitors are most interested in. Once you know that you can increase the emphasis of that particular tab or button on your website.

It has A Lot of Content

It is easy to get carried away and to include a lot of content. The problem is that no one will even read what you wrote and too much content will overwhelm your user. While content is vital, too much of it can be discouraging to the visitor. Therefore, you should add how much ever content is required, keeping in mind to write it well, and you should make it a point to use graphics as well.

It is time to rectify these mistakes so that your customers start pouring in.

Entrepreneurial Learning

Before you launch your website you should do a quick assessment in regard to the content, the use of graphics, the feasibility it provides, and its computability so that you have a clear winner. Going wrong in any of these aspects will discourage your customers.
