Staying Ahead

Do you Know Your Purpose Yet? Here Are Reasons Why Many People Walk Through Life without A Purpose

Self-discovery means knowing what you want to do and how to do it. Having a clear aim in life is what self-discovery is all about.

Sadly, not many of us undergo this process. There are many who choose a path in life only to realize too late that they made the wrong choice. They start sensing it and that is when the fear sets in. All our lives we are led into thinking that self-discovery is all about becoming rich, being powerful, and winning. We believe that what we do is our purpose in life. May be, may be not. Sometimes, purpose is simply to be genuine in life. There are numerous people who just don’t understand this concept.

Here are reasons why:

You Deny

During your childhood it is okay to mold yourself to the surroundings. You are taught to learn how to behave or how to stay in a particular environment. That is all fine but when you get so carried away once you grow up that you actually lose yourself in the quest, problem arises. Most of us try too hard to blend in. We seek approval of outsiders. In order to do that we try to be like them; we deny ourselves in the process.

You don’t Listen to Yourself

Let’s go back to childhood again. Our notion of success is about passing school, getting married, having kids, working, and earning. Any deviation from this is usually scary. We are also very scared about not being good enough or creative enough or smart enough. Amidst all this we forget to stop for a second and ask ourselves whether we are happy doing this. We live through life because we have to live it in a certain way (because that’s how we grew up) regardless of what we feel about it. When you listen to yourself you will find your passion. Therefore you should stop for a moment and pay attention to yourself. Once you do that you can choose a career path accordingly.

You Fuel your Ego

When you are egotistic you are never satisfied. You can work hard day and night and still not satiate your ego. You always have an empty feeling! People who are egotistic also hate silence. They are all about action and getting things done all the time but if you can’t accept silence you can’t do anything except work to satisfy your ego. Silence will help you brood over matters and understand small things. When you understand nuances is when you understand the purpose of life.

You Ignore your Weaker Side

We are all human and we all have a bad side or a dark side or a weaker side. This is the side only we know of and are too scared to show anyone else. This side represents our fears, worries, failures, selfishness, weaknesses, and so on. But this doesn’t mean you ignore this side. This side will actually teach you a lot about life. The darkness will guide you and help you understand where and how you should grow. The darkness will help you make peace even with people you dislike for your own good. Embrace your dark side and discover yourself. Don’t ignore your dark side and hunt only comfort.

This information will probably open your eyes and help you discover yourself.

Entrepreneurial Learning

Most of us don’t know the purpose of life and live through it just because we have to and not because we want to. It is time to discover yourself in order to lead a happy, content, and productive life. It is time to listen to yourself and to be yourself.
