However, you should know that change is the only constant when it comes to customers. Your audience and the mindset may have changed considerably since the time you applied that particular idea. May be the idea did not work then but a subtle variation in the idea may do the trick for you now. Always allow ideas to flow and try making variations that may work.

Understand Timing

You have to understand the importance of timing in business. You can’t expect traffic to pour the moment you refurbish your website. These things take time. You have to set realistic goals and check whether you are able to reach them. Learn that timing is vital so that you make appropriate changes accordingly instead of rushing through.

Be Careful

If something did not work out, blaming your creative team is not the way to go. A lot depends on the execution too! You, as the leader, must understand that. If a campaign did not go as planned, don’t ask the creative team where things went wrong. Sit down and discuss the structure of the entire campaign so that you find the problem and the appropriate solution. This will also make things less personal and you will not end up discouraging anyone. When you accomplish that, the outcome you receive is usually highly valuable.

Try New Strategies

As aforementioned, marketing is not about doing only a set of things and expecting them to work all the time. Marketing is about taking chances to see what works. Plus, it involves improvising. Designing, evaluating, re-designing, executing, evaluating again, and so on – this is a continuous process.

In marketing, ideas have to flow and there has to be improvisation.
