Time is money, my friend!

What is the one thing that distinguishes a world-class business from an average one? Successful entrepreneurs lead it from the front. How are these entrepreneurs different from the rest? They are pioneers of time management! Whether it is business strategy or employee motivation, they know how to work faster than the rest, which is why they get more done through the day. Fortunately, working quickly and efficiently at the same time is no rocket science. Simply by altering a few things in your daily habits you can start working incredibly faster.

Let’s take a look:

Keep Your Desk Clean

This small task can clear up your mind and help you think faster because clutter holds negative energy and hampers your ability to do things efficiently. When your desk is clean, you will be able to focus on the tasks at hand.

Use Bright Lights

Dim lights are a little too comfortable and relaxing. They can make you sleepy and lethargic. That is why your workplace must always be well-lit. Experts say that light levels between 300 lux and 2000 lux are perfect. They can help enhance productivity, which in turn can help you work faster.

Write Short Emails

There is no need to write long emails. In fact, if you can’t help yourself, it is because you don’t understand the topic at hand. 140 character emails are generally more than enough. You should develop the skill of writing quickly and writing to the point so that you don’t waste time writing emails all day.

Do Not Question Yourself

Dedicate the first 15 minutes to finish off the draft. Do not spend longer than 15 minutes even if you think you’ll do a bad job. Also, do not question yourself based on what you did during these 15 minutes. Also, use a timer to keep a track of the time. The rule of thumb is that if you can’t get a hang of it in 15 minutes you will not be able to do it at all.

Train Your Mind To Think Less

One of the main reasons behind people missing a deadline is that they think too much about too many things. On an average, we apparently have 49 thoughts per minute! Train yourself to ease up and to start thinking only about what you are doing.

Successful entrepreneurs usually get a lot done because they have trained themselves to focus and to think clearly so that they work faster.

Entrepreneurial Learning

If you can’t work fast, you lose money. That’s the plain rule in business and that’s the rule successful entrepreneurs swear by. This is the main reason why you must learn how to work fast and efficiently at the same time.
