Executives today are extremely busy and need to stay active throughout the day. But we are human and at some point our body will give up. In order to avoid burn out, you should make sure you keep yourself fit on the mental as well as the physical level.
If you think you can’t spare the time you should definitely think again. You just need to organize to empty some slots and keep them aside for fitness. You should look at fitness as a priority and not just an option that you turn to when you are free. Here are a few tips that will help you accomplish that:
Use the Mornings
Experts say that the morning is the best time to exercise. Half an hour of exercise before breakfast will get you pumped up for the entire day and will keep you energized throughout. Of course, hitting snooze and dozing off is a very appealing option in the morning but you have to discipline yourself for your own wellbeing. You don’t need to do this each morning. Start off with every alternate day or once in two days.
Find a Partner to Workout With
This gives you two advantages. One is that fitness will become more fun. Two is that you will have peer pressure to motivate you. You can’t escape when you have a partner because you are committed to him and you have to fulfill it at any cost. You can talk to your coworkers for this. An afternoon schedule for workout sounds fine.
Challenge can get you pumped up and motivated like nothing else. Why not conduct challenges for the entire office, thus? You can conduct a race for everyone and you can participate in it too. What happens is that everyone in your office including you will be motivated to win the challenge and will start preparing for it.
Hire a trainer. However, be careful because you might find it really hard to schedule your time. Instead, you can go for online training. There are plenty of sites where trainers and trainees come together to workout. This won’t give you the feel of a real trainer but it is the best thing you can do for yourself.
I hinted the requirement of discipline in the first point and I am going to elaborate it here because disciplining yourself is very important. Commit yourself to training and being fit. You need focus as well as determination. Get tough and don’t let anything distract you from your fitness regime.
Follow these tips and you will be able to stay fit through your busy schedule.
We are all busy but that doesn’t mean we forget our fitness. We are only as good as we are fit. The moment our health gives away our productivity will go down significantly. Thus, it is important to pay attention to your mental and physical fitness. Workout daily either alone or with a partner and invest in a trainer so that you don’t lose focus.
