There are a few companies that even go to the extent of practicing unethical moves in order to get clicks! That is a huge NO. Even if it seems like the most daunting task to you, you should never do anything unethical.

Why would you even think about going the wrong way when there are easier and very simple ways that will help you get the traffic you are looking for? You don’t have to resort to unethical things at any point of time. Follow these steps and the traffic will come:


YouTube video is a must today. It is very obvious but there are startups that tend to neglect video making. Everybody in your league is doing it or has already done it. Your job is to do the same if you at least want to stay neck to neck. Going ahead of them is step two. Reaching them is step one.

Create a good quality, educational, but interesting YouTube video. Also make sure that the video has good quality links and Meta tags. It is all about tagging!


Oh, how people love juicy controversy! How people love fights! Why not use that to your advantage? Be very careful here though. Spur a controversial topic and market it. The topic must be relevant to what you do.

Don’t ignore the risk. If you think you can’t keep it clean, avoid this tactic all together.

Be Clear

Clarity has to be there at all times. You should define your mission with crystal clear clarity so that people understand your purpose without having to figure it out the hard way. Wherever and whenever required, let people know why you exist and what your goal is.

Be very careful about consistency. You can’t state it in one-way in one place and then use completely different terms in another place. That will start confusion. Whether it is on YouTube or your metadata or on social media, use the same information.


Why not try connecting with celebrities of your niche? Twitter has made it possible for us to reach any celebrity with ease. Use that!

If a celebrity shares something on your website, you will OBVIOUSLY get traffic! This might take some time, serious effort, and the need to be exceptional but if you can accomplish this, you will indeed have a click fest!


The last tip is to be a registered webmaster. If you register yourself, you will be aware of the ongoings. The biggest benefit is that if Google or Bing faces a problem entering or ‘crawling’ the content on your website, you will be notified. Thus, you will know where the problem is and rectifying it will be easier.

Relentlessness is the key to getting traffic or clicks. Be clean and work hard. The clicks will come eventually.
