Teach the basics
Basics form the foundation of any business and is essential for each and every employee. They will tell you what a company is all about and what is expected from the employee. It tells the employees what are the skills that are required and what is the knowledge they need to know? All these can only be achieved through proper and efficient training. Your employees will not know what is expected of them till you tell them that. Tell them their duties and responsibilities and put them through training. The entire course of training has to be well planned in advance and the entire schedule has to be chalked out well beforehand.
Provide advance training
With the growing use of computers and technology, it is necessary that your employees should also be trained to adapt themselves to changes in technology. Give more time to your employees to learn and adapt themselves to these modern methods. Use of technology will show an increase in business performance.
Conduct mock sessions
After and during the training process, you should hold mock sessions to test the performance of your employees. Mock sessions should have tests like sales calls, sales and marketing strategies, communication with customers, attending phone calls, and responding to customer needs at your office. Closely monitor the performance of your employees. Check for any faults that they make and correct them immediately. Do not be harsh with them, but tell them in a polite manner.
Give feedback to your employees about their work regularly. Make it a habit to review their work at least once in a week. Devise a performance chart and indicate their positive and negative points. If any employee still lags behind, give him or her or her another training session.
