Network Your Way to Success with Business Card

A business card may, for all purposes, just appear like a small rectangular card, but if used effectively it can be the cheapest and the best marketing tool. But, it is no ordinary card – it is a card that can bring you name, fame and business. It is your identity and it acts as the key to your success. Having a business card is common, but designing your card in a way that brings you success is much more important.

Q. Do you have a business card?
Q. Do you know how your business card can bring you success?
Here are some tips from Kuza Biashara, on how to network your way to success with business cards:

Designing your card

Find someone who is good at business card designing as making a business card in the appropriate manner is extremely important. It is a business card that represents you and presents your company to the outside world. A card should have your name, name of the company, your address and contact details. These constitute the basic information that has to be included in the business card. Apart from this basic information, you need to mention the mission statement of your company – what you are good at and what your company projects itself to be. Your mission statement has not only to be very unique but also innovative. Your statement should encourage customers to know more about your business.

Give your card to everyone

Make it a point to carry your business card along with you at all times and every time you travel. Carry it with you wherever you go – to a party, an important meeting, or to a concert – you never know when you may need it. Give every person you meet your business card; you could give a few more cards and request them to pass it on to others. Keep your business cards at your office and ask every employee who talks to your customers to give them a card before they leave your office. Find a place to stack your cards at the entrance of your office – any person can pick up your card.

Go through your card personally

Once you design your card, personally go through your card and check for any mistakes or misprints and have it corrected. While proof reading, take a good look at the card and see if everything looks good – the design, the shape, the colour, the getup, and the appearance. If you do not like any aspect, change it. The reason why you should like your card is important. If you don’t like your card, do not expect others to like it. Your card should be attractive and appealing and have a professional look.

Entrepreneurial Learning

Even today a business card can bring you wonders. It is the biggest source to remind your customers about you. Never forget to give your card to any customer who enters your company. Before you finalize your business card think twice. It should be simple and elegant and provide all the details and most importantly you should like it.

How do you figure out a fair wage?

This is a very common question for startups and small businesses. They can’t seem to decide or understand how to set wages and manage reputations at a time. They are determined to pay well but they also have to think about encouraging their employees to stay with them for a long time. This is why there is a need to think strategically.
