You can give your special and select customers a special telephone number in case of emergency. Be willing to attend to them any time of the day or night. Your customers would also like to meet you to know the latest developments and if you have anything new to offer them. There is always a possibility that some of your customers are no longer in business. Customer requirement keeps changing and you should recognize that changes and keep yourself updated.

Maintain customer details so that you can contact them when needed. Maintaining customer address and phone numbers are an essential part of your business today. If you do not have customer details on record, you can send them a form and ask them to furnish these details. You can use any of the social media websites to create a bond between the business and your customers.

Customers don’t like to be bothered for small things. Ask your customers permission to be notified when a new product or service is introduced to your business. Under any circumstances do not spam your customers. Never forget that one of the most important functions of a leader is to visit customers from time to time and to be in touch with them and make them feel that they are not forgotten. Remember that out of sight is out mind.

Communicating with your customers is the key to making them your permanent customers. Send them newsletters, inform them about the new products, and talk to them whenever possible. Use the internet and social media to stay in touch with them. Do make it a point to call them after delivery of a product or service and ask them if they are satisfied with the product or service.
