Venue: Accra International Conference Centre (AICC)
Date: 30th – 31st August 2012
In order to promote the mutual economic relationship between China and Africa, CEIBS is launching the annual CEIBS – Chengwei Capital “China Meets Africa” Forum. The forum is intended to provide a platform for thought provoking exchanges between business and political leaders, eminent academics, students, NGOs and multilateral/bilateral institutions to debate the economic partnership between Africa and China. The forum will focus on exploring how economic ideas can flow between China and Africa and how both parties can benefit from this strategic partnership.
CEIBS has played an important role in the development of the Chinese economy by educating responsible leaders in “China Depth, Global Breadth”. CEIBS has a similar ambition in Africa; to “prepare highly competent, innovation-oriented managers and executives, who are capable of leading and growing their organizations in the increasingly dynamic Africa economic environment and who are capable of negotiating the forces of globalization, international competition and cooperation for the benefit of their organizations”. CEIBS Africa Programme started in Ghana, Accra in 2008. December 9, 2010 saw the Graduation Ceremony for its first EMBA intake.
The theme for the first forum, which will be held on 30th to 31st August 2012, will be “Exploring Trade and Investment Opportunities: How Africa can benefit from China’s Experience”.
