In order for your business to succeed, there are certain key things you have to identify as your targets. The aim is to be clear on what you want to achieve, what you need to do and what you have in your possession that will help you achieve this.

Some of the things you need to do are:

Know what success is

Business success is customer satisfaction. It’s commonly told to business owners, that the customers are the business even if they don’t buy from you. Remember you are there to serve them, and give them what they want. Satisfy your customers to such a degree that they buy from you rather than from someone else.

Know the purpose of business

What is the purpose of a business? What your thinking is maybe wrong, it’s not just to earn a profit. The purpose of a business is to create and keep a customer.

Value

Wealth building and business success is for you to add value in some way. All wealth comes from adding value. All business growth and profitability come from adding value. If people don’t see this then they are not the right customers for you or you need to educate them on their values, without being offensive.

Two important words

There are two things that will help your business: SALES AND MARKETING. Your business needs to achieve its goals through meeting customer needs, and the only way for this to happen is through marketing yourself as a solution to the problems your customers face, leading to you making sales.

Advertising

Get the message right so they understand who you are ,what you have and why they should shop with you? You must always advertise. If the advertisement is not working, fix it.

Cash flow

It is important for your business to have cash flow it’s the lifeline like the air you breathe. Without it your business will suffer hard. How to have more cash flow? Every business must have a growth plan which include each step 10% profit and so on and also what other leads will you use to get new clients, you must have a plan it is like a road map. Growth does not come from luck, without it your business fall behind.

Serve right

Be proud and have passion that you’re in business and you want to serve customers. More people will then enjoy your service, they will be coming back to you and they will tell their friends, which possibly gives you more costumers.

Staff

An important asset to your business is your staff. They are here to help you and serve the customers, so treat them well and they will bring you rewards.

Get advice

Always get advice from people who have your best interest and who will know how to help and guide you. There is no shame in getting help, we are all here to learn and grow together.

Network with other business people

You can share ideas, and if you don’t have what your customer needs, you can refer them to each other’s shops, and they will still be grateful because you helped.
